PLATFORM LB 200 at
SOBRENA : two months of works.
Well-known at SOBRENA (repairs in 1994
and 1998), the platform LB 200 managed by the Norwegian company
STOLT OFFSHORE arrived in Brest on 8 th June, stayed 2 months
in drydock n°3
LB 200 (length: 165.50 meters and breath
: 58.50 metres with a stinger of 120 meters) is a huge platform
able to live 403 people.
The work consists in works on the winchs, on the exhaust modifications,
hydroblasting and painting and important steel works.
After the refurbishment, Stolt Offshore
will have to lay a gas pipe between Norway and Great-Britain.
Samuel de CHAMPLAIN, the biggest French
dredging repaired in Brest
It's
the first time that Samuel de Champlain dredging, managed by
GIE Dragages Ports, based in Rouen has come at SOBRENA to repair
until 17 th August .
SOBRENA improve the dredging system in adding a degazing system
under the dredging arm. Docked in drydock n° 2, Samuel de
CHAMPLAIN will also receive general maintenance by SOBRENA.
Other
projects
SOBRENA has received confirmation of two
orders from ACL (Grimaldi Group) for drydocking of Atlantic
Companion and Atlantic Compass between 8 th August
and 4 th September.
This will be the 4 visit at SOBRENA for these vessels. Scope
of works will be general maintenance and hull paintwork.
