REPAIRS
  • ILE DE BREHAT :

French Cable Layer from   Louis Dreyfus for Cables Tank Modification works from February 01st, 06 for 49 days. The work has been interrupted due to an intervention of the vessel on site for cable-repairs. Modification done alongside Repair Pier N°1

  • ARION :

In dry dock n°3, VLCC of Andriaki from January 30 to February 7 for general maintenance works, hull treatment, pipe works and mechanical works.

  • CHASSIRON :

This double hull French tanker has entered the dry dock n°3 in February for a problem on the propeller. The owner Petromarine decided to change one blade, to paint the hull and to overhaul the sea valves. The vessel is a regular customer of Brest Harbour.

  • POURQUOI PAS :

French research ship managed by Ifremer, in dry dock n°1 for 11 days in February for checking and adjusting the sounder.

  • FUSUS

Shell chemical product tanker has been dry-docked from February 21 to March 8 for hull painting, overhaul of Main Engines and miscellaneous works.

Ferry of French Company Transmanche Ferries based in Rouen, France and operated on the Channel between Dieppe and New Haven. She has already been docked in Brest in 2004 and in 2005. This year, in dry-dock N°3, from March 7 to April 29, 06, a full hull cleaning and painting as been done as well as mechanical works such as propellers, stabilisers, thrusters, main engines and auxiliaries’ engines and also works on the aft ramp.

  • JUANITA:

Shuttle tanker owned by Ugland Marine Services AS from March 18 to April 6, for Survey and general docking works in dry-dock N°2, Juanita has been docked in Brest a few times in the past as well as her sister vessel Evita.

  • THORNBURY:

Crude oil tanker of Lundqvist Shipping in dry-dock N°2 from April 19 to April 06, for general docking, her sister ship Hildegaard has also visited Brest dock in October 2004

  • NATURA:

Finish Shuttle tanker owned by Neste Oil Corporation repaired in dry dock N°2 from May 5 to May 16. Short dry docking for survey, blasting and hull painting before being sold to Knutsen OAS Shipping under the new name of Nancy Knutsen.

  • NAVION NORVEGIA:

Shuttle tanker from Teekay Norway AS, afloat in dock n°3 from May 11, 06 for 15 days for installation of VOC system, including fitting a new module of 170 tons made in Denmark, making and fitting all the pipes necessary, supplying and running all the electrical cables to connect the new system to the ship equipment.

The Brittany Ferries cruise ferry suffered a big storm and met a big wave which damaged the front part of the accommodations which has involved steel repairs and accommodation works. Those repairs have been carried out alongside Repair Pier N°1 from May 23 to May 25.

UNDER CONTRACT:

  • LNG FINIMA :

A 6 month contract to length the vessel’s life of 10 to 15 years.The LNG Finima arrived in Sobrena on 26th of January 2006.

Alongside from the 26th January to the 27th May for Cargo tanks work, internal treatment works in Water Ballast tanks and Cofferdams and boilers’ works.

It is now in Dry-Dock N°3, for 7 weeks in order for the yard to perform all the dry-docking works as the hull treatment, pipe works, sea valves and all engine room works.

Following this stay in dry-dock she will then stay alongside Repair Pier N°1 for tanks works completion and trials.

 

  • BRO ELIZABETH:

French product tanker managed by Broström tankers.

Dry-docking and miscellaneous works in dry-dock N° 2 from June 09 up for 15 days.

Crude oil tanker managed by Shell – alongside Repair Pier N°1 from June 13, for 10 days. In Sobrena mainly for Survey and steel works.

 

 

 

 

  • LNG LAGOS:

 

This LNG Tanker from Shell has arrived alongside repair Pier n°2 on June 30, for 11 days. Works will be undertaken on the double-bottom.

 

WAITING:

  • GEOMASTER: from Subsea Ressources from July 7, 06 up to 24 July 06.
  • Dock Gate: from  Brest Navy yard expected from June 20 up to August 27, 06
